The next stop on our journey is Meknes, which was the capital during the seventeen century and one of the imperial cities of Morocco. You’ll see the famous gate of Bab Mansour, The Granary, The Square of Lehdim and Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. After that we’ll head to our next destination, Fes. In the morning we’ll drive toward the Sahara desert, our first stop will be in Ifrane, known as Little Switzerland. Then we’ll continue through the Cedar Forest where, with luck you’ll see monkeys. Next we’ll head to Midelt where you can enjoy your lunch. Continuing the road through the Middle Atlas Mountains and observe the nomads that live there. We continue the drive through the scenic Ziz Valley that is surrounded with palm trees stopping at scenic views along the way. After that we will head to the final station Sahara Desert. You will enjoy 1-hour camel ride through the golden dunes of Merzouga while the sun setting. Later you will spend your night in the camp, enjoying the berber ambiance, drumming and dancing around the campfire and sleeping under the light of thousands stars. In the morning, your camel guide will awaken you to enjoy the spectacular sunrise over the sand dunes. This experience is considered one of the trip’s highlights.
